GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS – Twenty proud delegates completed the five week entrepreneur and business model training, which was initiated and presented by the George Business Chamber and TEN (The Entrepreneur Navigator). Dr Willie Cilliers, the chamber president; Max Oerder, a business consultant for TEN; and Ingrid Cronje, the chamber manager, facilitated the workshop.
The group was divided into two teams and each team had to design a product and use the nine fundamental steps that are used in the design of a successful business model. The end of the course culminated in a presentation by each team to a panel of four judges.
The presentation was conducted in a similar vein to the popular TV programme Dragon’s Den where entrepreneurs are afforded the opportunity to ‘pitch’ their product and business model to a panel who decides whether they would ‘invest’ in the business proposal being presented. (more…)
